Lamps and bulbs bases and screws
There are several types of lamps and bulbs. The most common ones are E14, E27 and GU10.
E14 or E27 refers to the diameter of the screw lamp holder, measured in millimeters.
An E14 bulb is one of the most used bulbs in our homes today, also called the bulb with the small screw socket. It is often used in pendant lights, or small table or desk luminaires
An E27 bulb is the larger version of the screw-in light globe. Its most common form is the standard pear-ish shape. It is often used in pendant lights and large floor and table luminaires.
A GU10 is the most common type of spotlight bulb, also known as a PAR16 light bulb. It is often used in places where a directional light is needed, such as workspaces or kitchens.
