Energy Efficiency Labels

Led technology is constantly becoming more efficient and economical. The former energy class scale could not follow technological improvements and the sign “+” should be added next to letter “A” to indicate the higher energy class of the product (A+, A++, A+++ etc). To overcome the confusion caused by these markings “A followed by multi+” EU directive imposed to rescale Energy Efficiency Labels:

Former A+ gets a lower level (E or even F) on the new labels, with the same strong score though in terms of energy efficiency. Thus, there will be room for even more energy efficient bulb in the future.
